As
soon as a piece of equipment (new or used) is delivered to your
course or property, it is a good idea to immediately record
all model, specification and serial numbers. Keep these numbers
and any other significant descriptions in a safe place. These
numbers
can help save time when trying to identify your piece of equipment
when ordering replacement parts and accessories. It will also help
you verify the warranty with the manufacturer.
Remember that
many pieces of equipment may have different model or specification
numbers for attachments or engines. For example,
a cutting unit or rotary mowing deck will have different identification
numbers than the tractor that drives these units. The engine such
as a Kohler, Briggs or Kubota will always have its own Model, Spec
and Serial number. Be sure to record all numbers. |
